FAQs & Studio Policies
General
-
The Reformer is a spring-based Pilates machine that builds strength, control and mobility. It might look intimidating, but it’s surprisingly supportive and we’ll guide you every step of the way.
-
We’re a Reformer Pilates studio in Parkdale offering two types of sessions: Solos (private) and Unison (small group). Our focus is simple: intentional movement, expert instruction and sessions that feel good in your body.
-
Not at all. Our classes are beginner-friendly and open to all levels. If you’re new to Pilates or returning after a break, we’ll meet you where you’re at.
-
Yes. Pilates can support injury recovery, pain management, and long-term strength. If you’re working through something specific, start with a Solo (1:1) so we can tailor the session to your needs.
-
Once a week is a great place to start. Some people come more often, but it depends on your goals, schedule and what feels sustainable for your body.
-
We recommend starting with a Solo (1:1) Session. It gives us time to learn about your body and goals, and you’ll get familiar with the Reformer and the studio.
-
Solo is a 1:1 private session, ideal for focused support. Unison is a small group Reformer class (max 5 people) designed to offer personal attention in a shared space.
-
If you’re new to Pilates, now may not be the best time to start. If you’re returning post-baby, check with your care provider first—then let us know how we can best support you.
The Studio
-
Calm, light-filled and low-key. No front desk. No loud music. Just a welcoming space to move, breathe and feel better in your body.
-
Wear something comfy with stretch. Grip socks are great but not required. We have all the equipment, you just bring yourself (and a water bottle).
-
Our Parkdale space is on the second floor, requires stairs and there isn’t an elevator. Washrooms are gender-neutral but not wheelchair accessible.

We’re in Parkdale, near Queen & Sorauren. Look for the glass door with the Fine Tune logo.
-
We use the Kisi app for keyless entry. Once added to our system (can take up to 24 hours), your phone becomes your key. Turn on Bluetooth and location services. Trouble getting in? Message us through the Fine Tune app.
-
Doors open 10 minutes before class. We recommend arriving early so you have time to settle in, find your Reformer, and ease into the space. Doors re-lock 10 minutes after class begins—and late arrivals won’t be permitted—so it’s best to plan ahead and give yourself a moment to land before we start moving.

Studio Etiquette
-
Doors open 10 minutes before class. We recommend arriving early so you have time to settle in and get grounded before class begins. Doors re-lock 10 minutes after the start time—late arrivals can’t be accommodated.
-
We ask that all devices are silenced and tucked away under the lounge area bench. The studio is a space for presence—not pings.
-
Yes, please! A quick wipe-down helps keep things fresh and ready for the next guest.
-
We’d prefer you didn’t. Some guests are scent-sensitive, so please skip strong fragrances before class.
We acknowledge that our studio sits on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat peoples, in what is now known as Tkaronto. We recognize their enduring relationship with the land and waters, and the values of care and reciprocity reflected in the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreement. We are committed to learning from and honouring these values in how we move, gather and exist in community.
